Reconstruct the mechanism

  1. Establish controllable charge behavior in semiconductor material
  2. Use one terminal to influence conduction between two others
  3. Interpret high and low output regions as logical states
  4. Compose switches into inversion, NAND, storage, and larger circuits

Use a simplified transistor model to build NOT and NAND; compare relay, tube, and transistor by switching time, energy, size, and failure.
